As of September 15, 2010, the Directorate?s reception and telephone swithchboard will be open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

FBI Criminal Record Check for citizens and residents of the U.S.A.
As of September 1, 2010, individuals who have resided in the U.S.A. during the past five years, who intend to apply for a residence permit in Iceland, must submit a Criminal Record Check issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
