Travel Documents

The applicant must be in possession of a valid and recognized travel document upon arrival and when leaving Iceland or any other Schengen country. The travel document must be valid at least three months beyond the validity period of the visa being applied for.  The applicant must as well have permission to travel back to his home country or another country at least three months beyond the validity of the visa. 

The identification documents recognised in place of passports on entering and leaving Iceland are listed in Appendix 2 of the Regulation on Foreigners.
