Important!
Applications by mail will no longer be accepted, except from citizens of countries outside the EEA who are applying for the first time and must apply before arriving in Iceland.
When deposited to the account of the Directorate of Immigration:

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRINT OUT THE PAYMENT RECEIPT AND SEND IT WITH THE APPLICATION!!
When depositing to the Direcotate´s account it is IMPORTANT that the payment receipt is submitted with the application so the application will be processed.
IMPORTANT! When depositing to the Directorate’s account, the following information must be provided as explanation:
The applicant's birthday and name. This must be comparable to the applicant’s passport.
E.g. 010185-4679, John Smith-Brown.
