Adjustment period with respect to workers from Romania and Bulgaria extended until 2012.

Icelandic authorities have decided to extend the adjustment period provisions restricting the free flow of workers from Romania and Bulgaria to work in Iceland until the year 2012. Wage earners who are citizens of those countries therefore still need to apply for work and residence permits at the Directorate.
