Renewals of residence permits.

According to the Act on Foreigners, a foreigner shall renew his residence permit four weeks before the current permit expires. If an application for renewal is submitted within the stipulated period, the foreigner may stay in Iceland until the Directorate has made a decision on his application. Otherwise, the foreigner shall leave Iceland before his current permit expires.
